Hello!
Now that the summer holidays are over, I am back in the riding office and ready to work alongside the citizens and organisations of the greater Châteauguay area.
In Québec, the past few weeks have been busy. The parliamentary commissions started back up on August 16th so the MNA’s are already hard at work on a variety of dossiers!
The Premier shuffled cabinet on August 11th. You can consult the list of Ministers and their new roles by clicking on the following link.
I would like to salute my friend and colleague Jacques P. Dupuis who, on August 9th, resigned his functions as Minister of Public Security, Government House Leader and MNA representing the riding of Saint-Laurent. An election will be held in that riding on September 13th and Jean-Marc Fournier, former MNA for Châteauguay is the Liberal Party candidate.
To conclude, the Bastarache Commission which will look at the process of judges’ nominations, began its proceedings last week.
I wish you all a good week!
